The Makita DUC405 LXT Chainsaw has a durable brushless motor with constant speed control and variable speed control by trigger. For added safety, it has an electric chain brake and kickback brake. Fitted with an ergonomic soft grip and a large separate-type metal spike bumper. The spike grips the workpiece firmly to provide more control.
Its design incorporates captive nuts, this prevents nut loss when removing the sprocket cover to replace the guide bar or saw chain. Powered by 2 x 18V Li-ion batteries in series to supply energy to the powerful 36V DC motor drive system. A battery protection system provides over-discharge protection for enhanced battery cycle life and overall battery life.
